GSSP and the Agricultural Economics Department of the University of Ghana at Legon organized a training on Cost Benefit Analysis from May 30 – June 10, 2011. Participants included representatives from each directorate at MoFA that are involved with the formulation, evaluation and implementation of agricultural projects.
The course program consisted of a series of lectures, practical Excel training and exercises in various aspects of Cost Benefit Analysis. In order to put their skills to use, training participants set up case studies to carry out cost benefit analyses of various components of the Medium Term Agriculture Sector Investment Plan (METASIP). Over the next few months, training participants will carry out these analyses.
